Odisha Government to Fund Additional Costs for Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced that the Odisha government will cover all extra costs for Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Jatani. This facility, built under the Department of Atomic Energy, was planned with 200 beds. It will now have 385 beds to better support the region.

## Infrastructure expansion and support

Tata Steel Foundation is providing support. However, the state budget will cover the extra money needed for this expanded capacity and better medical infrastructure. This project helps patients who previously had to travel to Mumbai for advanced care. It provides world-class treatment closer to home for families across eastern India.
