Odisha Extends MMSY-CMRL Road Scheme for Four Years

Odisha government plans to continue Mukhyamantri Sadak Yojana - Connecting Missing Road Links (MMSY-CMRL) for four more years, from 2026-27 to 2029-30. This scheme helps connect rural and border areas with a total budget of ₹1,547.55 crore.

Road connectivity goals

The scheme helps people reach schools, hospitals, and markets more easily by building new roads and bridges. Officials aim to finish about 3,214.88 km of road work during this time. Routine maintenance for five years is now required for all projects to keep them in good shape. The government will check the quality of work through independent state-level reviews, using the same system as PMGSY.
