New Digital Tool Launched for PM Surya Ghar Yojana

Government has launched an online tool called Get Solar in 60 Secs to make installing rooftop solar panels easier. This site helps you figure out the right solar plant size, total costs, and available subsidies in about a minute. PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana will provide up to 300 units of free electricity every month to 1 crore households.

You can use this tool by entering simple details like your electricity bill and sanctioned load. The platform also connects you directly with certified vendors through WhatsApp. Also, an AI chatbot named SUNtosh started on June 4, 2026, to give quick answers about your application or subsidy status. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this scheme on February 29, 2024. It aims for 30 GW of rooftop solar capacity by fiscal year 2026-27 to lower carbon emissions.
