MCD Updates Park Maintenance Rules for RWAs and NGOs

MCD has made it a rule for RWAs and NGOs to get approval from local councillors before they start park maintenance under the MCD PPP scheme. This change helps fix arguments between groups in the same area. The maintenance payment is now fixed at ₹13,500 per acre for all zones.

Requirements and rules

To apply, organizations must have been registered for at least three years. MCD will look after things like gyms and gazebos. Participating groups must make sure no permanent changes or business activities happen in the parks. The department provides free compost to help with the work.
