Maharashtra Plans New Maha CSR Authority for Better Fund Management

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis asked officials to draft a proposal for Maha CSR Authority. This new body will make sure Corporate Social Responsibility funds in Maharashtra are used with better clarity and coordination. Many schemes currently run on their own, which leads to scattered efforts. This authority will fix that by acting as a central hub.

Authority structure and goals

Chief Minister will lead this authority. A governing council of senior officials and industry leaders will support the work. A project bank will help companies and NGOs match their work with state needs. This plan includes a focus on the long-term upkeep of projects. Many assets break down after a few years, but this will change. The authority will also look into a Diaspora Connect scheme to bring in support from people from Maharashtra living outside the state.
