Madhya Pradesh Railway Connectivity Boost

Madhya Pradesh reached a big step with the start of the 56-km Kailaras-Sabalgarh-Veerpur railway section. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, joined by Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and Jyotiraditya Scindia, launched this project online to help people in hundreds of villages in the Gwalior-Chambal region reach hospitals, schools, and markets.

Gwalior-Kailaras MEMU train now runs up to Veerpur. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the state railway budget grew to ₹15,188 crore, with total spending at ₹1.55 lakh crore. Work continues on sections toward Sheopurkalan, and plans exist to connect to Kota later.

Railway Expansion Goals

This expansion helps industrial growth, including the planned Defence Corridor and Telecom Manufacturing Zone.
