Madhya Pradesh Extends Key Women Welfare Schemes for Five Years

Madhya Pradesh cabinet has extended Ladli Behna Yojana and Ladli Laxmi Yojana for five more years. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav confirmed the decision to continue this support.

Ladli Behna scheme provides a monthly benefit of Rs 1,500 to 1.27 crore women. The government set aside Rs 1,14,365 crore for this scheme for the next five years. Ladli Laxmi scheme has helped 51 lakh people since 2007. It will now receive Rs 16,326 crore to cover education, health, and marriage costs.

Additional scheme updates

Cabinet also approved the continuation of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana from 2026-27 to 2030-31. The state will pay 40 percent of the costs. Government is also starting Narmada Mission to focus on river conservation.

Eligible people can continue to benefit from these schemes as planned.
