Madhya Pradesh EV Subsidy Update 2025-26

Madhya Pradesh had 88,209 electric vehicles get subsidies during the 2025-26 financial year under the PM E-DRIVE scheme. Official data shows 94,277 electric vehicles were on the road across the state during this time. The state did not get any electric buses under this specific plan.

Ministry of Heavy Industries confirmed they track these numbers. However, they do not keep central records of specific incentives given to buyers or makers. This scheme is part of a plan for clean travel. It follows the FAME India Phase-II scheme that ran from April 1, 2019, to March 31, 2024. The government supports the sector through different steps, including a 5 per cent GST on EVs and chargers. They also use Production Linked Incentive schemes for auto parts and battery storage.
