Lakhpati Didi Initiative: Financial Support and Training for Rural Women

Helping rural women earn more is the main aim of Lakhpati Didi. Through Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission, the government helps women in self-help groups reach an annual household income of at least Rs 1 lakh. This helps women start businesses and become independent in villages.

Financial support details

Individual women entrepreneurs can get credit-guarantee support for loans up to Rs 5 lakh for five years. Also, there is a 2% interest subsidy on loans up to Rs 1.5 lakh for three years. Self-help groups can get bank loans up to Rs 20 lakh without any collateral. Along with money, the scheme offers training, market connections, and help with business plans to make sure your income lasts.

Eligibility depends on your self-help group status and state rules. Do not believe claims that any woman between 18 and 50 can apply directly. Check with your local self-help group or the State Rural Livelihoods Mission office for correct information.
