Kulgam District Reviews Social Security Scheme Progress
Kulgam Deputy Commissioner Shahzad Alam led a review meeting on August 27, 2026. The goal was to check how local financial and social safety schemes are working. The team talked about getting more people covered and making the registration process easier for residents.
Scheme coverage and coordination
Staff checked the progress of several national schemes. These include Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, and Atal Pension Yojana.
The administration told all departments to work together. This will make sure that eligible people get registered and receive their benefits on time.
