Kolkata Hospitals Prepare for Ayushman Bharat and MMSBY Rollout

Private hospitals in Kolkata are preparing for the launch of Ayushman Bharat and Mukhyamantri Swasthya Bima Yojana on August 16. Hospitals are setting up support teams and preparing ward spaces to handle more patients.

Preparation at city hospitals

Existing Swasthya Sathi cards will stay valid until new ones reach people. Hospitals are fixing minor technical issues with the registration portal. Currently, 68 private hospitals in Kolkata are on the Ayushman Bharat list, and this number will likely grow. Major centers like Charnock, Ruby, Woodlands, and RN Tagore Hospital are making their systems ready to provide easy healthcare access for all eligible people.
