Kolhapur Banks Directed to Meet Annual Credit Plan Targets by September

Kolhapur District Collector Dr. Vijay Rathod told all banks in the district to reach their half-yearly targets for the 2026-27 annual credit plan by the end of September. Officials recently checked the progress during a District Consultative Committee meeting. The district has already given out ₹20,071 crore, which is 43 percent of the ₹47,000 crore yearly goal.

Bank targets and scheme support

Dr. Rathod told banks they need to help citizens with paperwork and loan approvals for government schemes. He pointed out the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Shetkari Karjmukti Yojana. He asked banks to make sure eligible farmers get their benefits on time.

The review also included the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Vishwakarma Yojana, and the Chief Minister's Employment Generation Scheme. Banks and local offices will now hold camps at the taluka level to spread awareness and clear pending loan applications.
