Karnataka Includes IVF Treatment Under Ayushman Bharat Scheme
Families in Karnataka facing infertility issues now have support. Karnataka government has added Assisted Reproductive Technology procedures like IVF, ICSI, and frozen embryo transfer to the AB-PMJAY-CM's ArK scheme. This helps couples who find these treatment costs too high.
Pilot project details
This service will start as a one-year pilot project. It is made to help 120 Priority Household and Below Poverty Line cardholders. Health Minister UT Khader shared this in the Legislative Council, noting that the government understands the emotional stress infertility causes.
