Jharkhand Government to Cancel Three JPSC Exams Amid Student Protests

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced that the state will look into exam problems following protests in Ranchi. Speaking in the Assembly, he confirmed that three JPSC examinations, including the 14th JPSC Combined Civil Services preliminary exam, are canceled. The government will also look into exams held by TDPL.

Student demands and current situation

Even with these changes, student representatives still want a CBI inquiry into how recruitment happens. On August 10, tension grew when students marching to the Assembly faced police action. Although the Chief Minister asked students not to listen to political opposition, the protest continues while both sides try to resolve the recruitment issue.
