Jan Suraksha Schemes Complete 11 Years of Social Security

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, and Atal Pension Yojana have completed 11 years. These schemes provide affordable insurance and pension support to families across India.

Scheme coverage and benefits

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman shared data on the reach of these schemes. PMJJBY has recorded over 27 crore enrolments, while PMSBY has 58 crore and APY has 9 crore. Claims worth over 21,500 crore rupees were settled for 10.7 lakh families under PMJJBY. Also, 3,660 crore rupees were paid out to 1.84 lakh families under PMSBY.

The government now uses digital systems to make things easier. You can apply through the Jan Suraksha Portal without visiting a bank or post office. This change makes claim payments faster and provides help to families when they need it most.
