Jalgaon Zone Solar Subsidy Milestone

Solar energy use is growing in Maharashtra. PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana has shown success in the Jalgaon zone, which includes Jalgaon, Dhule, and Nandurbar districts. A total of 80,602 consumers have installed rooftop solar systems with a combined capacity of 296 MW.

Subsidies worth ₹560.34 crore have reached the bank accounts of 72,032 eligible people. Jalgaon district leads with 50,917 installations. The scheme offers money help up to ₹78,000. This helps families lower electricity bills and possibly earn from extra power.
