India Empowers Amrit Peedhi for Viksit Bharat 2047

India is turning its youth into a main driver of development. Almost 65 percent of the people are under 35. The government is top priority for education, skill training, and business support to reach the Viksit Bharat 2047 goal. Mera Yuva Bharat platform has already connected over 2.22 crore young people with volunteering and learning.

Progress in youth development

Good progress is visible in many areas. The dropout rate for secondary school dropped to 7 percent. Higher education enrollment reached 4.5 crore students by 2023-24. Innovation is growing, with over 2.47 lakh recognized startups now active across the country. Also, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana has trained 1.64 crore youth since 2015. This helps them prepare for jobs in AI, robotics, and green energy.

Sports and health are also very important to this plan. Khelo India programme approved 349 infrastructure projects. Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan reached over 30 crore people to help with wellbeing. These efforts are helping young citizens take part in building the future of India.
