Himachal Pradesh Announces New Welfare Schemes and Development Initiatives

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced two welfare schemes, Apna Parivar Sukhi Parivar and Indira Gandhi Matri Shishu Sankalp Yojana, starting October 2. These schemes will help 1.80 lakh families. They also improve nutrition for mothers and children in 21 ICDS blocks. These efforts match other women empowerment schemes running across the country.

State updates and welfare measures

The government is also helping employees by paying salary arrears for Class-IV staff and pension arrears for retirees. Plans are in place to open 100 new CBSE schools. Monthly pay for ASHA workers will increase to Rs 6,800.

Big investments are going into milk processing. A Rs 250 crore plant in Kangra will be ready soon. The state is starting a Horticulture Policy. It is also adding robotic surgery to government medical colleges to provide affordable health services. These steps show a focus on development similar to schemes launched by PM Narendra Modi.
