Haryana Private Hospitals Suspend Ayushman Bharat Services for One Day

Private hospitals empanelled under Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Haryana will pause services for one day on September 1, 2026. This is a protest against long delays in government claim payments.

Payment delay concerns

Indian Medical Association Haryana says payments have been stuck for over six months. This is much longer than the 15-day rule for settlement. Money problems have hurt the work of private hospitals, and some are near closing.

This protest lasts 24 hours. However, the association says they might stop services for good if the payment issues continue. Ayushman Bharat Yojana currently works with over 38,700 hospitals in India, with 1,310 hospitals located in Haryana.
