Haryana: Ayushman Bharat services normal despite IMA suspension call

Haryana government has clarified that health services under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) are running normally across the state. This comes after Indian Medical Association (IMA) called for suspension of services under the scheme.

On 2 September 2026, the State Health Agency said it is continuously monitoring the situation. Regular coordination is maintained with district-level officials, District Implementation Managers, and empanelled hospitals. All hospitals have been directed to continue treatment as usual, giving priority to eligible patients.

No complaint has been received about any eligible patient being denied treatment since the night of August 31. The agency also dismissed reports of outstanding dues of Rs 12,000 crore to hospitals as factually incorrect. Such reports create unnecessary confusion among beneficiaries.

Complaints and action

If any beneficiary complains about refusal of treatment on August 31 or September 1, the matter will be investigated as per procedure. Appropriate action will be taken against hospitals found guilty of obstructing treatment.

Beneficiaries are urged not to rely on unverified reports. They can continue to avail treatment at empanelled hospitals as per the prescribed procedure.
