Government Releases Rs 275 Crore for Agriculture in Gujarat and Sikkim

Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has released the second payment of ₹275.52 crore for Gujarat and Sikkim. This money comes from Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana and Krishonnati Yojana to help farm output and rural infrastructure.

Payment details for states

Gujarat will get ₹224.94 crore, and Sikkim will get ₹50.58 crore. This money helps promote modern farming methods, like micro-irrigation and farm machinery, to help raise farmer income. This decision helps the farm sector in both states. The Minister asked state officials to finish all approved projects on time to make sure farmers get the best results.
