Goa Launches Rooftop Solar Subsidy Scheme

Goa government launched Grid Connected Rooftop Solar Promotion Scheme to increase clean energy use. Residential users can get money help of up to 50 percent of the cost for solar systems up to 10 kWp. This scheme works with central PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana to make solar power cheaper for families.

Group housing societies, resident welfare associations, and schools can apply for this support. Commercial and industrial users may also qualify based on specific rules. You need a permanent electricity connection with the state department to apply. Goa Energy Development Agency manages this program. It runs from April 1, 2026, until March 31, 2028. The goal is to add 65 MW of solar power capacity in the state.
