Goa Launches Additional Subsidy for Rooftop Solar Installations

Goa government has launched a state-level subsidy scheme to encourage solar energy use. This scheme works with the central PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana to provide extra money for rooftop solar systems. The scheme is active from April 1, 2026, until March 31, 2028.

Goa Energy Development Agency runs this scheme. Residents, housing societies, schools, colleges, and businesses with a valid Permanent Consumer Account number can apply. By adding this state subsidy to the central help, the government wants to reduce electricity bills and support clean energy.
