e-Shram Portal Reaches 31.89 Crore Registrations

Launched on 26 August 2021, e-Shram Portal has reached 31.89 crore registrations from unorganised workers across India. This platform acts as a national database. It gives workers a 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN) to help them get various social security benefits.

New features and updates

e-Shram Portal became a single platform on 21 October 2024. It now links 15 welfare schemes, such as PM-SYM, PMSBY, PMJJBY, and PMAY-G. Workers aged 16 and above can register for free with their Aadhaar and mobile number. The portal now supports 22 languages and has special tools for gig and platform workers. Registered people can also connect with National Career Service for job help or Skill India Digital Hub for training.
