Short Update
Delhi Lakshmi Yojana Guidelines and Spending Restrictions

Delhi Lakshmi Yojana started on August 1. It provides ₹2,500 monthly to eligible women from poor families. To get this, you must be a registered Delhi voter and the oldest woman in your family. Your annual family income must be under ₹2.5 lakh, and you need to show proof of 10 years of residency.
Spending rules and payment details
Use these funds wisely. Spending on alcohol, tobacco, drugs, lottery tickets, or gambling is not allowed. The government will stop payments and take back the money if you are not eligible. If a person getting this benefit passes away, the Recurring Deposit balance goes to the legal heir. Any money not claimed after two years goes back to the government.
You have two ways to get the money. You can put the full amount into an RD or FD account locked until July 31, 2029. Alternatively, ₹1,500 goes into a locked account and the rest into your CBDC wallet. You can apply throughout the year. The cutoff date for the next month's payment is the last day of each month.
