Delhi Lakshmi Yojana: Eligibility and Registration Details

Delhi Lakshmi Yojana provides ₹2,500 monthly to eligible women. The government has set aside ₹5,110 crore for the 2026-27 period. This scheme plans to support over 17 lakh people. It was earlier known as Mahila Samriddhi Yojana.

## Eligibility Details

To apply, women must be aged 21 to 60. Family income should not be more than ₹2.5 lakh per year. Applicants must have lived in Delhi for at least 10 years. Only one woman per family can get the benefit. If multiple women in a family qualify, the eldest gets priority. Families with a four-wheeler or those already getting certain government benefits cannot apply.

Registration is open now, and about 8 lakh people have applied so far. Sanction letters should arrive around August 26 or 27, 2026. Monthly payments start on September 1, 2026. A recent Delhi High Court inquiry is looking into whether MP or MLA endorsements are needed for eligibility. This has added extra steps to the approval process.
