Delhi Lakshmi Yojana Approval Letters Distribution Starts August 26

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that approval letters for Delhi Lakshmi Yojana will be handed out starting August 26 at Talkatora Stadium. Nearly 8 lakh women applied for the scheme within 18 days of the August 1 launch.

Eligible women will receive ₹2,500 per month for income support. The government set aside ₹5,110 crore for this scheme in the 2026-27 budget. Applying does not mean you will get the money. Each application goes through a checking process for Aadhaar, voter ID, family income, and car ownership.

Eligibility and requirements

To apply, you must be between 21 and 60 years old. Your family income must be under ₹2.5 lakh per year. You also need to have lived in Delhi for at least 10 years. The government is checking all data to stop wrong claims. People who give false information may face strict action.
