Centre Approves 11.19 Lakh Houses for Bihar Under PMAY

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced new housing support for Bihar. Approval is given for 11,18,937 new pucca houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. This plan includes a budget of ₹13,427 crore. Over the past two years, the government sanctioned 24.30 lakh houses for the state at a cost of ₹29,164 crore.

New support for farmers and women

The government will also roll out Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana in Bihar. This helps protect farmers from crop losses caused by natural disasters. Also, new She-Marts will open across districts. These shops provide a place for products made by women Self-Help Groups, Jeevika Didis, and Lakhpati Didis to be sold.

Bihar has also made progress in digital agriculture. The state already issued 53.83 lakh Farmer Identity Cards to make it easier for farmers to get scheme benefits.
