Central Government Allocates Agriculture Funds for Rajasthan and Telangana

Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, announced funds for farming in Rajasthan and Telangana. Under Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana and the Krishonnati Yojana, Rajasthan gets ₹340.59 crore. Telangana gets ₹265.12 crore.

These payments follow Project Approval Committee meetings. For the 2026-27 year, Rajasthan had an action plan of ₹849.37 crore approved. This includes a central share of ₹509.62 crore. Telangana received approval for an action plan of ₹651.06 crore. This includes a central share of ₹390.63 crore.

Agriculture development updates

Telangana is using new models for Farmer ID and fertilizer distribution. Progress needs to improve for the state in Oilseeds and Pulses Missions. Rajasthan was asked to make its Kisan Credit Card services easier to use. This will help farmers get credit quickly.
