Bihar Student Credit Card Loan Process Revised for 2026-31

Bihar government updated the loan process for Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme. These rules apply from the 2026-27 financial year through 2030-31. Students needing money for higher education now have a clear process to follow.

Application process details

For loans up to ₹2 lakh, apply through the Bihar State Education Finance Corporation system. If you need more than ₹2 lakh, apply for the extra amount using the PM-VidyaLakshmi portal. You must start with an online application and then finish document verification at your local District Registration and Counselling Centre (DRCC).

DRCCs offer free help to students for submitting applications on the central portal. This scheme now connects with Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan Yojana and Pradhan Mantri VidyaLakshmi Central Scheme to make education funding easier to get.
