Bihar receives approval for 11 lakh new houses under PMAY-G

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recently approved 11,18,937 new pucca houses for poor families in Bihar. The government set aside 13,427 crore rupees for this. In the past two years, the government approved 24,30,327 houses for the state in total, costing 29,164 crore rupees.

Rural Development and Farmer Support

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin is the main focus for rural development. The Minister also discussed how Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana helps protect farmers from crop loss during natural disasters. The state has already created 53,83,000 farmer identity cards to make sure benefits reach them easily.

Work is also happening to support women in Self-Help Groups. Plans are in place to open She-Marts in every district so women can sell their products. Better rural roads through Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana remain a top priority.
