Bihar Government to Revive Sakri and Raiyam Sugar Mills

Bihar government has partnered with Indian Potash Ltd (IPL) to restart sugar mills in Sakri, Madhubani and Raiyam, Darbhanga. This work is part of the Saat Nischay-3 scheme and helps local workers and sugarcane farmers. The sites will include distilleries, power plants, and Compressed Biogas (CBG) units.

New updates for state economy

Cooperative Department is starting the Bihar State Cooperative Policy 2026 to improve rural work. Also, the state will use the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana from the 2026-27 Rabi season. The state is building 350 vegetable collection centres. PACS will now provide more banking services and host Jan Aushadhi Kendras.
