Bihar Government Plans to Expand Mukhyamantri Nari Shakti Yojana for Women

Bihar government plans to expand the civil services incentive scheme under Mukhyamantri Nari Shakti Yojana. This change will help women from all groups, including general, EWS, and backward classes, who pass preliminary exams for competitive tests.

Since 2021-22, the scheme has helped 4,513 women with over ₹23 crore in support. Right now, UPSC prelims qualifiers get ₹1 lakh, and BPSC prelims qualifiers receive ₹50,000.

New Incentives for Women

The government intends to offer money to candidates who pass exams like Indian Engineering Service, CDS, NDA, RBI Grade B, and various SSC and banking tests. These incentives range from ₹30,000 to ₹1 lakh.

State social welfare minister Dr. Shweta Gupta mentioned that this change helps ensure money problems do not stop talented women from reaching their career goals. The support helps with coaching, study materials, and exam fees.
