Bihar families receive keys to new PMAY homes

Families in Motihari and across Bihar have moved into permanent homes. During the 2026-27 financial year, the government built 2.35 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Local leaders, including MLA Shyambabu Yadav and MLA Bablu Gupta, handed over keys to families at an event in Motihari.

New homes for Bihar families

District Magistrate Saurabh Suman Yadav said 35,000 houses are now ready in the district. Many residents said life was hard in old, thatched houses when it rained. The government wants to provide a secure roof for every poor family. It is good to see these families living in safety and comfort.
