Bihar Cabinet Approves Major Green Energy and Education Initiatives

Bihar government launched several welfare measures to increase green energy and help youth. Cabinet decisions include giving 10 acres of land free for 25 years to large oil companies to set up Compressed Biogas plants in four districts. The government set aside ₹1,000 crore for Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. Residents will get a subsidy of ₹10,000 per kilowatt, with a limit of ₹20,000.

Youth development plans

Youth welfare stays a top priority. The Kushal Yuva Programme will continue until 2031, with a budget of ₹430.08 crore for this year. Also, the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme received more support with ₹950 crore set aside for 2026-2031. These steps help improve work opportunities and schools across the state.
