Ayushman Bharat System Sends Recovery Message to Deceased Constable

A family in Chhattisgarh got a strange WhatsApp message 42 days after the death of police constable Dev Narayan Ram. This message from Ayushman Sarathi said the officer was getting better and coming home, even though he passed away on June 30, 2026, at Ambikapur Medical College Hospital.

His wife, Seema Kujur, felt very upset by this mistake. She has asked for a formal inquiry into the matter.

Hospital response

Hospital official Dr. Shailendra Gupta admitted there was a delay in updating patient records. He made it clear that no false claims were filed after the constable died. The hospital said the worker who made the data entry error has been removed from tasks linked to Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
