Annapurna Yojana Applicants Protest in Siliguri Over Delayed Benefits

Women gathered at the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Officer office on 20th August. They protested because they have not received benefits from Annapurna Yojana. Many people say they submitted all required documents nearly two months ago. Their application status is still pending.

Even though they have submission receipts, the online portal shows their documents are missing. Officials promised to visit homes for checks, but the women say this has not happened. This lack of action means many families are still waiting for the promised support.
