Andhra Pradesh to launch Divyang Shakti Scheme on March 18
Andhra Pradesh government will launch Divyang Shakti Scheme on March 18 to give free bus travel to people with disabilities across the state. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate it in Amaravati as part of Ugadi initiatives.
Eligible people with more than 40% disability can travel free in APSRTC buses. Attendants get 50% fare concession. Scheme covers over 12.76 lakh people, including attendants.
Government will give APSRTC 207 crore rupees every year to run the scheme.
