Anantnag District Reviews Banking Performance and Credit Targets

Anantnag District Development Commissioner Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat led a district-level committee meeting to look into banking performance for the quarter ending June 2026. The district reached a credit-deposit ratio of 78.49%. Total deposits were ₹9698.49 crore, while advances stood at ₹7612.18 crore.

Banking performance details

Banks gave out ₹1287 crore in loans to priority sectors. The local office asked banks to speed up lending for farming, crop loans, and main schemes such as Mission YUVA and PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.

So far, 2512 eligible people have received ₹45 crore through PM Surya Ghar. Banks must improve lending for social security and financial inclusion. They also need to make sure all eligible citizens get enrolled on time.
