Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has decided that now all the Aadhaar Seva Kendras will remain open on all 7 days in a week. These Aadhar Assistance centres will have the capacity to service upto 1000 Aadhaar enrolment or update requests per day. Now people can plan a visit to Aadhar Seva Kendras by booking an online appointment as these centers are built on the lines of Passport Seva Kendras. Apart from applying or enrolling for new aadhar card, people can update name, address, mobile number, email id, date of birth and gender in UIDAI’s database through Aadhaar centres. People can also update photo and biometric data (fingerprint and iris) at their nearest Aadhar Seva Kendra.
The decision to start aadhaar enrollment agency registration online is taken by UIDAI due to increasing footfall at these centers.
