Startup Manipur Scheme Apply Online | Startup Manipur Online Application | Startup Manipur Registration 2024 / Login: Manipur government has launched Startup Manipur Scheme 2024 to create a Startup eco-system in the state by providing the right resources and the platform. This Manipur startup scheme will provide funds for women startups, student startups, idea based startups and revenue based startups. Accordingly, interested candidates can apply for funds online through the official website standupmanipur.in

Startup Manipur Scheme has been launched to make the state, one of the top start-up destinations in the North East by providing the most enabling ecosystems to support and nurture start-up entrepreneurship in the State.

What is Startup Manipur Scheme 2024

Under Startup Manipur Scheme 2024, the state govt. will provide incentives for ideas, prototype development and promotion & commercialization. Candidates must check their eligibility and list of documents required before applying for Startup Manipur Scheme. In addition to this, govt. will also setup Network of Entrepreneurship Development Centers (NEDC), Business Incubators, Product / Prototype development and Market to create enabling environment which are described here.

Network of Entrepreneurship Development Centers (NEDC)

Create a Network of Entrepreneurship Development Centers (NEDC) in Universities and leading Higher education institutes. State will facilitate capacity building of NEDC partner institutions through active collaboration with leading business incubators (BI) in the State and outside.

Business Incubators

State will assist in creating Business Incubators (BIs) in the State to enable them incubate a number of start-ups Preferential lease of land from State Government as per its land policy to government recognized BIs in the State. About 20% of space available will be earmarked in existing and forthcoming Industrial Estate.

Product / Prototype

Access to Government R & D labs and resources to start-ups will be facilitated by State Government. State will facilitate creation of a state-wide Mentor and Expert Network (MEN) for Start-ups. Provision for one-stop comprehensive service to promising start-ups through website.

Market

Access to list of market and potential buyers inside and outside the state through MEN. Providing potential investors to select the project from the database that they would be interested to fund. Market development support through FICCI, IITF.

To boost entrepreneurship, govt. will organize other events like Spark Saturday, Uplift and Start-up Manipur.

Objectives of Startup Manipur Scheme

1. To strengthen the start-up culture in the State by fostering greater social acceptance and recognition of promising start-ups, through strategic investment, policy interventions and such other programmes.
2. Encourage and inspire the youth of Manipur to actively consider entrepreneurship as a career choice by including appropriate learning modules, developing relevant entrepreneurship development programs in vocational institutions, and supporting outreach programs, interactions with entrepreneurs, e-cells and entrepreneurship development centres across educational institutions in the State.
3. To support and strengthen existing business incubators & accelerators in the State.
4. To encourage setting up new business incubators in the State in collaboration with private sector.
5. To continuously provide enabling mechanisms to start-ups, through training and skill development, capacity building, networking, access to knowledge & support services, etc.
6. To implement a supportive regulatory framework that enables hassle-free and time bound statutory clearances for all start-ups.
7. To provide appropriate infrastructural support required to enable start-ups to set up and grow rapidly.
8. To create a platform for accessing multiple avenues that provide financial support to start-ups in Manipur, like grants, bank loans, fiscal incentives, etc.
9. To create enabling environment and supporting eco-system that facilitates 1000 start-ups in next five years.
10. Growth of start-ups would be largely sector-agnostic, it would be appropriate to give added focus to areas particularly suitable for Manipur :-
    • Entrepreneurship initiatives that enable sustainable and inclusive socio-economic development across the whole State.
    • Entrepreneurship development activities that leverage the natural resources, human skills and other strength areas of the State.
    • Innovative ideas, new business domains and sectors that have high future growth potential would be encouraged.
    • Particular encouragement to sectors and capabilities that can catalyze growth across multiple industries, or can have a multiplier effect.

Startup Manipur Scheme Apply Online

Startup Manipur scheme will provide funds in idea stage, revenue stage, ESS stage and Stand Up stage which are described below:-

IDEA Stage

Under Idea Stage of Startup Manipur Scheme, candidates can apply if they have an innovative scalable business idea. Each candidate will get:-

• Subsidy of Rs. 3 lakhs.
• Business Incubation Training mandated.

REVENUE Stage

Under Revenue Stage of Startup Manipur Scheme, existing entrepreneurs can apply to scale up business.. Each candidate will get:-

• Subsidy @ 30% upto max of Rs. 30 lakhs.
• 65% loan from banks and 5% margin money.

ESS Stage

Under ESS Stage of Startup Manipur Scheme, govt. will provide support to existing micro entrepreneurs. Each candidate will get:-

• Subsidy @ Rs. 1 lakh.
• Bank loan @ Rs. 2 lakhs.

Eligibility Criteria for Startup Manipur Scheme Application

• A domicile of Manipur by birth
• Any individual/group of individuals having innovative idea/concept.

Selection Process

• Applicant need fill up the application forms and submit through startupmanipur.in website.
• First level screening will be done by a committee
• Selected Startups have to pitch their business idea in front of a panel in the Manipur Startup.
• A jury of panels consisting of MEN, EDC, state representative will select the startup based on their pitch, business plan, feasibility, scalability and budget.

Each applicant can submit a maximum of one application. Multiple applications will be rejected. Previously selected beneficiaries of Start Up Manipur & Stand Up Manipur are not eligible to apply.
