Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, a centrally sponsored crop insurance scheme for farmers is being implemented across the country. The state government of Haryana has also started accepting applications for the insurance scheme in the state.
Premium Rates for PM Fasal Bima Yojana in Haryana
The Haryana Government has notified the premium amount for the current rabi season crops including wheat (गेहूँ), mustard (सरसों), Oat (जौ), and gram (चना). The premium amount to be paid by the farmer for any of the crops is not more than 1.5 percent of the insured amount. The state and central government would pay rest of the premium amount to the insurance companies.

PMFBY Insured Amount for Each Crop
Wheat (गेहूँ) – 22,000 per acre
Oat (जौ) – 10,000 per acre
Mustard (सरसों) – 11,000 per acre
Gram (चना) – 10,000 per acre
The farmers can claim the insurance amount in case the crop is destroyed due to water overflow, heavy rain, landslide or any other natural climatic conditions. Even in case the farmers are not able to seed crop due to low rainfall, they can claim the insurance.

The interested candidates can apply for the crop insurance scheme by visiting their bank branch or contacting the insurance company official.
