The ambitious Mukhyamantri Jal Swavalamban Scheme (MJSS) phase 2 will be launched in November this year as announced by the Rajasthan Government on Tuesday.
Phase two of Mukhyamantri Jal Swavalamban Scheme will cover 4200 villages at a cost of Rs. 2100 crore with high tech applications. The state government would do drone surveys of the villages to track the progress under the scheme. The control room at Jaipur will make use of Waypoint software mobile application to track the traversal path of the workers employed under the scheme.
The government has extended the scheme to urban areas covering 190 towns and cities. The scheme will also be linked to the PHED and Agrigulture department.
A survey from August 8 to 15 will be conducted for the preparations of second phase of the scheme. The scheme however would commence from November 16 as per the reports in TOI.
