On 15 November 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the Ration Aapke Gram Yojana in Madhya Pradesh. This scheme will hand over per 30 days quota of PDS Ration to beneficiaries from Janjatiya neighborhood in their very own villages each and every month in order so that they don’t need to commute to the Fair Price Shop to assemble their ration. Under MP Mukhya Mantri Ration Aapke Gram Yojana, ration will be distributed in the village itself through ration distribution vehicles under the scheme. Tribal beneficiaries will no longer have to go to the Panchayat Headquarters to get fair price ration. This will also help them in getting the ration and also save time.
Implementation of MP Mukhya Mantri Ration Aapke Gram Scheme
For the operation of MP Mukhyamantri Ration Aapke Gram Scheme, 485 vehicles have been contracted in the state. Through these vehicles, fair price ration will be distributed in 74 tribal development blocks of 16 districts of the state. A total number of 7.43 lakh families of 6,575 villages will be benefited by the MP Mukhya Mantri Ration Aapke Gram Scheme. About 16,944 metric tonnes of ration will be distributed every month.
Vehicles Flagged Off for MP CM Ration Aapke Gram Scheme
CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan flagged off vehicles for MP CM Ration Aapke Gram Scheme Phase 1. Ration vehicles will be customized, arrangements will be made for weighing, seating, mic, fan, light and security of the material on the vehicles. Important government schemes will also be publicized through the vehicles.
Rental Rates in MP CM Ration Aapke Gram Yojana
Vehicles of scheduled tribe youth will be contracted for operation of the MP CM Ration Aapke Gram Yojana. For a vehicle with a capacity of one tonne of food grains, Rs. 24,000 will be provided every month. For a vehicle with a capacity of 2 tonne, Rs. 31,000 will be provided per month. The rental rate may be revised every four months.
Assistance for Purchase of Vehicles
To purchase ration vehicles, Rs. 2 lakh for one ton capacity vehicle and Rs. 3 lakh per vehicle will be given for vehicle of more than one ton capacity will be given by the government to the scheduled caste youth. Loans will be provided to the beneficiaries at a concessional rate of 7.40 percent through the Central Bank of India.
