Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das has announced that 35 lakh farmers will get monetary assistance under Mukhyamantri Krishi Ashirwad Yojana by September 2019. The fund benefits would be transferred into the bank accounts of the beneficiary farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode. In this scheme, all the small and marginal farmers would be offered an incentive of Rs. 5,000 per acre of land holding.
The Mukhyamantri Krishi Ashirwad Yojana was announced in Jharkhand Budget 2019-20 to benefit farmers whose land holdings is upto 5 acres. CM has made this announcement during the plantation drive at Rajyakrit Madhya Vidyalaya, Paancha at Ormanjhi block of Ranchi district.
The state govt. is committed for overall development of farmers and will spend Rs. 5,000 crore for farmer’s welfare.
Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Krishi Ashirwad Yojana Benefits in Sept
All the small and marginal farmers whose land holdings are upto 5 acres will get Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Krishi Ashirwad Yojana Benefits in the month of September. The monetary assistance of Rs. 5,000 per acre could be used to purchase seeds, pesticides, agricultural equipment etc. Now farmers would be made self reliant through this scheme and they will not have to borrow money at higher interest rates from the open market.
This CM Krishi Aashirwad Yojana would run in parallel to the PM Kisan Scheme of the central government. Now all the farmers would get Rs. 2,000 per acre per annum in 3 equal installments apart from Rs. 5,000 per acre. CM has already asked deputy commissioners of all 24 districts to run campaign to connect 51 lakh farmers with this scheme. DCs will hold meetings with Mukhiyas and panchayat representatives in their respective districts and will update details of land holdings in villages.
Jharkhand govt. Steps for Women Empowerment
Women Empowerment is one of the topmost priorities of the state govt. and around 1.90 lakh sakhi mandals have already been constituted since 2014. Through sakhi mandals, govt. is providing various employment opportunities to women. CM also tells that the property registration fees of value upto Rs. 50 lakh is Rs. 1 for women. To strengthen Sakhi Mandals, the state govt. has allocated Rs. 500 crore.
Despite being a mineral rich state, people of Jharkhand remained poor. In the past 4 years, govt. has taken various efforts to improve economic condition of poor and upliftment of living standards of people. CM said that in the next 5 years, these efforts will gain momentum.
