Moreover, there is no limit on the age and income to avail cashless and paperless treatment from any public and private empanelled hospitals across the country.
J&k Governor has expressed its gratitude to PM Narendra Modi on launching this noble scheme for the benefits of poor. Central govt. has launched various people friendly welfare schemes and AB-PMJAY is the best among all in which each entitled beneficiary can avail Rs. 5 lakh annually for medical treatment.
J&K has secured 1st position in the country on account of high reduction in the infant mortality rate (IMR) in a single year. This also accounts to provide better healthcare facilities to the rural population of the state. AB-PMJAY is a flagship scheme of the Modi govt. launched on 23 September 2018 to improve and strengthen healthcare at all levels.
