Haryana UDAN Regional Connectivity Scheme

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar launched the Ude Desh Ke Aam Nagrik (UDAN) Regional Connectivity Scheme. This scheme will now allow the tourists to fly from Hisar to Chandigarh destination in just 45 minutes at price of Rs. 1,674. CM has boarded a 7 seated plane from Hissar to state capital Chandigarh. After completion of the expansion work in Integrated Aviation Hub in Hissar within 18 months, an 18 seater plane would start functioning.

The launch of this flight is a part of the central govt. UDAN or Ude Desh Ka Har Nagrik Scheme aiming to build efficient regional air connectivity. Soon, the state govt. will start flights from Hisar to Jaipur, Delhi, Jammu and Dehradun.

The state govt. of Haryana will also setup the Air Shuttle Services and Flying Training Organisation at Hissar airport by SpiceJet. This would be done to provide training to at-least 100 cadet pilots per year in the initial phase.

Now people of Haryana can board plane from Hisar to Chandigarh and reach in 45 minutes at fare price of just Rs. 1,674. This is done under the Ude Desh Ke Aam Nagrik (UDAN) Scheme of the central govt. which aims to provide flights to common man at very less prices. This scheme will ensure that even a common man can board flight to reach destination.

Setting up of Air Shuttle Services and FTO at Hisar airport will provide training to 100 cadets in one year. Around 4 meritorious girls with state domicile will get 50% fee concession for entire training. Around 10% students with Haryana domicile to get 50% waiver on tuition fees.

SpiceJet is also committed to ensure absorption and placement of 70% pilot trainees. The Integrated Aviation Hub at Hisar is a mega project of the Haryana state government. This is being executed under the Civil Aviation Department in a phased manner.

Phase 1 has already been completed in a record time by establishing the first Directorate General of Civil Aviation-licensed aerodrome of the state and terminal building at Hisar airport.
