The state government of Haryana has announced Domestic electricity connection for the rural people. Under the scheme, the poor people will get the power connection on EMI. Accordingly, the rural people merely have to pay Rs. 200 in the beginning and can get a domestic power connection in any specified area of the state. The remaining amount can be paid in the easy instalments of Rs. 100 to Rs. 200.

Under the Domestic electricity connection scheme, economically weaker sections (EWS) in the society will not need to pay the entire amount at one time getting the power connection. The government has informed that presently citizens are spending Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 4000 to get a power connection.

The objective of the scheme is to provide power connection to each section of the society especially economically backward class. Therefore, now rural people across the state will get Power connections on EMI (Installments).

According to the release notification, the state government has already launched various schemes in the state. These schemes have helped in reducing the losses of the Power Department by 7 percent. Moreover, various villages in the state are getting the 24*7 power supply.

The power department is supplying power 24 * 7 in many Villages where line losses have been reduced by 20 percent. The government has identified four districts in the state including Panchkula, Ambala, Gurugram and Faridabad where are getting the 24*7 power supply.

The state government has informed that they will provide 24-hour power supply all over the state within their office duration. The state government will also change the perspective of those people who are not paying their power bill deliberately.
