Gramin Vikas Ke Liye Tarun (GRAVIT) Yojana – The state government of Haryana is all set to create a team of about 60,000 youth under GRAVIT (Gramin Vikas Ke Liye Tarun) to educated the benefits of scheme to every person in villages.
During ‘Gramin Vikas ke liye Tarun (GRAVIT) – Shikshit se Saksham ki Ore’ programme in Rohtak, CM Manohar Lal Khattar said that the government has ensured election of only educated candidates as representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) to ensure development and empowerment of villages.
A training programme for GRAVIT Volunteers has also been launched. Besides this, three-month certificate course for PRI representatives and course curriculum has also been released.
The main objective of preparing a team of 60,000 volunteers is to transform the villages and Haryana government is continuously working as per the principles of ‘Antyodaya’ given by Deen Dayal Upadhyaya for taking schemes to the grass-root.
The source informed that the discussion would be held with Panchayati Raj ministers to replicate the GRAVIT scheme in their respective districts.
