Delhi Atal Aahar Yojana 2024

As per the municipal corporation plans, people will get a thali (food plate) at a subsidised rate of Rs. 15 per plate. The South Delhi Municipal Corporation had started a food project with 5 kiosks but as per the reports, nearly 40 kiosks will be established at different places in south Delhi.

Kiosks with Inbuilt Kitchen Mobile Vans to be Started

Under Atal Aahar Yojna, lower-income group people will be at the centre of the project as due to financial constraints, they mostly partake of unhygienic food which risks their health. As per the stated proposal, 10 kiosks with inbuilt kitchen mobile vans (IKMV) will be placed in each of the four zones initially. The standing committee proposal also reflected that depending upon the requirement it’ll increase or decrease the number of kiosks in each zone.

The maximum rate for breakfast would be Rs. 10 and lunch would Rs. 15. The menu will include puri and stuffed paratha in breakfast and rice, dal, raita, and roti in lunch. The state govt. also added that no chairs will be allowed at these kiosks because it’ll create an obstruction for pedestrians. As per the report, the outlets will sell breakfast from 8 to 11 am and lunch from 12 noon to 3 pm.
